Live. Love. Create.
Where perspective becomes art, and art becomes connection.
The woman behind Karmil Studios
I’m Karley Millender-Morris, a designer and storyteller who has always seen the world through color, emotion, and meaning. My work lives at the intersection of identity and imagination. I create to help people feel seen, understood, and empowered.
Karmil Studios is a reflection of my journey as a woman, a mother, and an artist. It is the space where intention meets identity and where creativity becomes connection. Every project is approached with purpose, heart, and a commitment to creating work that feels honest, human, and transformative.

My Creative Philosophy
I believe design should feel like truth — honest, intentional, and rooted in real emotion.
My work is grounded in the belief that identity deserves to be honored, stories deserve to be told with care, and creativity has the power to connect us in meaningful ways.
What Guides My Work
Intention
Every visual choice has purpose and reflects thoughtful decision-making.
Connection
I design in a way that honors who you are and how you want to be seen.
Identity
My work is shaped by emotion, resonance, and the desire to make people feel something real.
Artistry
Creativity is storytelling — expressive, human, and aligned with your truth.
My Story
The Path That Shaped My Creative Identity
My journey has always been guided by identity, emotion, and the belief that creativity has the power to help people feel seen.
Where it began
My creative spark started in middle school, but my creative journey began taking shape in a community college classroom. I was studying traditional art, art history, and photography, and it was the first time I understood how powerful visual storytelling could be. Photography helped me see people with depth. Art taught me to feel. And every class expanded the way I understood color, emotion, and identity.
Finding my voice
I transferred to the Art Institute of Austin to pursue design more intentionally. Those years shaped my foundation as an artist and designer. They also shaped my voice. Later, I was selected as the commencement speaker for the 2017 graduating class, a moment that reminded me that creativity is not just what I do, but how I connect with others.
My first design role came earlier than expected. In 2013, I started at Polycom, where I stepped into the world of UI design and digital interfaces. It was the beginning of understanding how creativity, technology, and human experience come together.
From there, my path expanded. I moved into branding, digital design, and storytelling during my time at HPI and Dell. These roles taught me how to balance intuition with strategy, art with clarity, and creativity with purpose.
Growing into leadership
In 2018, I transitioned into a long season of creative leadership at Sparus Holdings. For more than seven years, I led brand identity, websites, products, and creative direction across multiple entities. I helped shape visual systems, build digital experiences, develop brand stories, and guide marketing on a large scale. It taught me how to build not just visuals but foundations. Not just assets but ecosystems.
Wanting to deepen my understanding of people and human experience, I began graduate-level UX studies at MICA. Research, accessibility, design systems, and user-centered design expanded the way I think, create, and solve problems. It made my work more empathetic, more intentional, and more grounded.
Stepping into my own path
Every chapter has brought me closer to the work I do today. Whether I’m building a brand, designing an interface, or capturing a moment in time, I create with honesty, emotion, and a desire to help people feel seen and understood.
Karmil Studios is the space where all of these experiences meet. It is where identity and imagination come together, where art feels human, and where creativity becomes connection.

What I Do
Design is my language, and these are the ways I use it to help brands and individuals show up with confidence, intention, and identity.
Brand Identity Design
Logos, visual systems, and cohesive brand worlds that align who you are with how you want to be seen. From symbolism to typography and color stories, I create identities that feel meaningful, expressive, and unmistakably yours.
Web & UI/UX Design
Clean, intuitive, user-centered digital experiences. I design websites and interfaces that reflect your personality while guiding people clearly, thoughtfully, and beautifully through your story.
Creative & Visual Strategy
Story-driven creative direction that brings clarity and alignment to your brand. This includes messaging, content planning, campaigns, and the visual strategy needed to create consistency across every touchpoint.
Photography & Content Creation
Natural, expressive imagery that captures identity, emotion, and presence. I create visuals that feel human, honest, and aligned. Whether for personal brands, business storytelling, or creative expression.
